Snow Quartz’s has a lot of the supportive qualities of Goddess Brighde, which is why it is one of my go stones of the Imbolc season. Brighde is The Great Healer and has many wells of healing waters in her name, Goddess of Fire and keeper of the living flame, of midwifery, poetry, and Smith craft, the bringer light, spring and new life as she breathes life back into the hard-frozen soil to waken the sleeping seeds that lie within.

Imbolc takes place on the 1st or 2nd of February. It is Brighde birthday, Bridget a Celtic Goddess of Ireland, is born at sunrise, a flame on her head that leaps up into the sky, the sign of the sacred child and Goddess. Snow Quartz’s milky white and sometimes icy-looking appearance symbolizes purity, clarity and innocence. It will help you see the world through clear and bright eyes, and it will allow you to see all the wonders that this universe can readily give you! Snowy or Milky quartz is a rather common mineral that can be helpful in assisting us to reach deeper meditative states. Its yin energies offset excessive yang in order to provide balance; as a matter of fact, this stone possesses the same properties as clear quartz, but presents softer feminine qualities. It is known to help balance the pituitary and pineal glands, which are responsible in regulating your body’s hormonal functions. Its ability to defuse overpowering thoughts and emotions, Snow Quartz also helps in helping and supporting emotional and mental issues and is good for the health of the teeth and bones. Snow Quartz just like Goddess Brighde will help you overcome your victimhood and martyrdom, giving  you the support you need while you’re learning the lessons this life has mapped out for you. Snow quartz reminds you to view the world from our heart centres and through the eyes of a child, but with the wisdom, knowledge, and experience of an adult.
